Why Work in Education?

We started this conversation as a way to promote our industry across professions. Our institutions recruit for everything from educators and facilities staff to psychologists and cooks. We usually post over 250 job listings per month on Jobs in Education, and regardless of the profession, if our sector needs it, you will find the posting on our employment job board.

Our institutions are filled with people who impact the world, and our sector gives us the opportunity to create transformational learning experiences. We want to showcase the benefits and have a conversation about how we can continue making an impact – on the lives of our students and entire communities. We want to hear from leaders in education, in a 360 degree kind of way, to include the voices of our students, educators, recruiters, and professionals in the field.

Here at Jobs in Education, we’re not simply obsessed with learning and education—

Wait, yes we are! Which is why we’re a business that not only provides exceptional service, but also gives back. That’s why it’s important to us to engage in social initiatives that help enable access and improve the quality of education.

We believe in the value of education. It’s the relationship between education, employment, and social impact where opportunity exists – and where there is opportunity, we believe there is possibility.

How do we make an impact?

We are a socially conscious organization and for over nine years, we have helped employers connect with qualified job seekers in Canada and abroad. Our President, Rumeet Billan, decided a long time ago that Jobs in Education would work towards two bottom lines: profit + social impact. To date, we have built three primary schools in Africa and South America, supported uniforms and textbook programs for orphans, created and built a teacher’s college in Kenya, and contributed to breakfast programs in Canada.

It’s not just about operating a business; it’s about making an impact.
